Dreams Goals

A dream is just a dream until you give it some structure. That’s the umph! that gives you motivation to keep going even when you don’t feel like it.

The umph! I’m talking about is making the goal meaningful.
Check out this drawing from my “Color Me Organized” series.
It may help you to realize your dreams.

Make your goal desirable – something you really really want

Is your goal relevant to you? Does it have meaning for you beyond the thing-ness? Is it really someone else’s dream?

Is your dream easy enough to maintain? If you have too many hoops to jump through, your dream will become a burden. Make it simple… or as simple as possible.

Is your dream attainable? I know you can do anything you set your mind to… and some things are still out of your control. You cannot just decide to win the lottery. Stick to things you CAN make happen.

Does your dream match your needs and style? It’s nice to dream about traveling around the world, but if you have a job that needs your attention, you may have to compromise for traveling sometimes to match your need to bring in income.

When you’re ready to reach for your dream life, write down your dream and the things it will take to get there.

And dream big!
