Closet Purse Hanger Contest
I have fallen in love with this new product – The Closet Purse Hanger — and yes it kills me how simple it is (Why didn’t I think of that!!!).
I wanted everyone to learn about them so they’ll have another great way to organize purses. (I’m planning to use mine for my small tote bag collection).
You can win a set of the Closet Purse Hangers by simply leaving a COMMENT HERE telling us how you would use your Closet Purse Hanger. Comments must be made before Friday Jan 16 @ 12 Midnight eastern or 9pm pacific time.
We will pick the winners at random. Shawane Thomas, the inventor, will give away up to 3 sets.
YOU CAN have an organized purse collection!

I will use the Closet Purse Hangers in my spare bedroom closet to organize my massive collection of purses, tote bags and travel bags.
They will help me to see all of my lovelies and choose the best bag for the occasion.
I have purses all over. They are in drawers and I forget I have them. I would use this in the closet to organize them.
Well, I only own one purse, but I do have a lot of tote bags so they would be quite helpful! Thanks Ms. Organizer!
Currently I have purses on the closet shelves. This would give me more shelf space, which I really need. thanks.
I love finding the best organizing tools to pass on to my clients. Purses are a weakness of mine, as are flip-flops, and I don’t have a great way to store them.
What a great idea. I have a tabletop surface in my closet which has a rod underneath, on either side. One side has out of season clothes hanging on the rod. But on the other side, the rod is not being used. On that side, I have many purses and tote bags cluttering the floor as I have run out of shelf space. So, I would use the Closet Purse Hangers to utilize my hanging space and put these purses and totes in plain view — right above where they now sit on the floor.
Oh, how clever is that? Keep the gadget posts coming–I love having great resources like this. Thanks a bunch.
Are they strong enough to hang student backbacks? I could see one for each school age child in a front hall closet.
These gadgets are awesome! Such a simple streamline design, I love it! These are way better than putting my handbag straps over the neck of the coat hangers, which is what I’m currently doing. I would love to product-test these for my organizing clients! Thanks to Allison Carter, The Professional Organizer and Shawane Thomas, the inventor, for this contest and the Closet Purse Hangers – great invention.
I would use the purse organizer to organize my 17 year old daughter’s purse collection. I am always trying to find new ways to get her to be more organized and I think this sounds like a great solution for one area of her closet. Thanks for showing them to us on your website. Great idea and a space saver too!
I was thinking that these would be great for belts, big beady necklaces, maybe craft ribbon, or even hats and scarves. The use for them is endless. This may be waaaaayyy out there, but you could use them even to hang herbs like lavender and rosemary to dry, just hook the binding you used to wrap the herb.
I can use that on the back of a kitchen chair or near my front door to hang my grocery tote bags!
I keep tote bags in the back door closet so I can grab the one I need…whether I’m headed to a baseball game or want to take my knitting along for an appt I know will involve a wait. I always know they are in that closet.
This is awesome- I would use them to organize the purses, backpacks and belts. SAHM with two girls who have lots of stuff. This will give us all some order. Also I could use them in the laundry room to hang that single sock on until we find a mate…..
I would use them for their intended use plus use one of them to hang my pajamas since I get dressed in my walk-in closet. This way my jammies would be quite handy hanging there and easy to hang up each morning and to grab at night. (Much easier than a drawer!)
These are awesome for belts, bags, scarves (tie a little loop in them), and even strappy shoes!!! You can use them in the bathroom for hand towels, the kitchen for aprons, or the garage for tools! I need to share these with the world! What a great way to keep accessories organized – especially if you don’t have much shelf space in your closets!
Love this idea! I would use it for belts. I would put my brown belts on one, my black belts on another, and my miscellaneous belts on another. I could also use this for thin fashion scarves. The possibilities are endless. Love it!!!
I would use them for our diaper bags, purses, reusable totes — I need like three of these. OH my husband would be so excited.
Not only 3 — like 30.
It’s much easier to use things that can be seen… Right now, my purses are bundled together in a laundry basket, but these purse hangers would make it possible to see what I have, making it possible to utilize more of the ones I own. That would be great!
I would not only use these to store my embarrassingly large purse collection, but I would also use them to hang camis. They tend to get lost in the drawer, and don’t stay on hangers very well. With the hooks, I could organize them by color.
I would of course use them, but I would also show them off to all of my friends, family, and clients. I love finding new organizing solutions!

I know the contest is over, but I had to add my comment on how I would use these. I would use them for coats and scarves! We live in Pittsburgh where we have to wear coats and scarves every time we leave the house. The kids don’t do a great job of hanging their coats up, and there is no way they would hang them on actual coat hangers, so these would make it easy for the kids to hang them quickly on the hook. Scarves are also hard, since they take up a lot of space and are hard to sort through if you throw them in a bin, and they slide off of the rod if you throw them over it, so these hooks would work well for hanging just one or two scarves neatly with our coats!
Great Post, I am totally with you.
You might find the products listed on the above website interesting. They offer several advantages that other hangers do not have.
I HAVE PURSES GALORE!!!! SO I WILL USE MINE IN MY CLOSET, SO I CAN KEEP THEM ORGANIZED…..
I’m an artist and have very limited space in my studio/home, especially in the closets. I’m always looking for creative storage ideas and your closet purse hooks are perfect! I have over 40 purses totes, & bags dying for your hooks.
Am I the only person with limited closet space? It appears you need a lot of space to hang purses side by side…not all purses or totes hang flat. I’d like you to prove me wrong, otherwise; I’d be reluctant to purchase….and I’m a neat freak!
Nancy, this is just one option. I actually have mine in the coat closet since I do have a small space (5 feet across reach in).

I would Iike to organize my closet now that I have time to do it this holiday, and having several purses from my mother that I don’t wear because they aren’t organized. My deceased mother was a classy, sophisticated, Godly woman who really dressed for success wherever she went anywhere. She had many purses and I would like to take care of them by taking the time to to stuff them with tissue paper to preserve the shape of them and to preserve the luster of the outside of her purses as well as my purses. Your closet purse hangers would help me tremendously to organize my purses and my mother’s purses. Please help get me organized! Nat
