New Products for Organizers
I have just returned from the NAPO National conference in Orlando, and I’m all charged up, rejuvinated, and so psyched for show and tell.
One of my favorite parts of conference is the Expo where we get to see many new organizing products up close. Some aren’t even on the market yet. Here are some of the interesting products and services I found this year:
For Home:
White Conveyors - A revolving wardrobe valet for the home. One of my favorites for people who love clothes and need more room for it. It is a dry-cleaner style revolving rack so you can fit all your clothing and accessories and watch them go by.

Shelf Improvement - Roll-out shelves pre-made to ship and deliver to your home (or to a client.) You only need 4 screws. This would be great for the DIY client or in a rural area where there may not be a company to install nearby.
Shelf Genie - offers the roll-out style shelf, plus the design and installation full service. It’s not available everywhere yet. The company offers distributor opportunities so this could be a good choice for the handy organizer, or organizer with a handman/woman.
Blis: Best Life Information System - This online system give syou one place to store household information, medical info, track home repairs, etc.
Jibidee - Another secure online site to keep lists, photos, calendar and upload important documents for safekeeping.
Collectify - Home inventory software that works with your digital photos of your stuff. Great for valuable collections.
Scandigital, Pixily, Savemypix - these companies were all there showing how to use their systems to get your images onto CD with high quality bulk scanning at a fraction of the time it would take to do it yourself. I don’t know which is better honestly.
Ziploc - Love the Big bags and the brand new flexible totes for sleeping bags, comforters, and other big stuff.

Rubbermaid - Jim showed off all the goodies including the easy find lids - which attach to the container or each other! I know this sounds like a small thing but when your husband can’t ever find the lids this is a BIG deal! I’m also a huge fan of the FastTrack Garage system. It is so easy to put up - even I can do it. And it is completely customizable to the client’s needs.

Time Timer - This is a teaching aid for people who don’t sense time elapsing. It is displays a visual depiction of time passing so the user can use their time better.
List Plan It - This website offers hundreds of downloadable, printable lists and planning pages that can help clients organize their lives.
For Office/Home Office
Smead - This office product company debuted their new products including Tuff Hanging file. The hanging rod is stronger and the tab slides easily from place to place making it much easier to move and remove.

Pendaflex - Pendaflex was drinking from the same fountain as Smead and came up with the Hang Tuff hanging files. The hanging rods are tension rods that expand to fit even the wonkiest rails. The rods are also sturdier. They’re not seen here because they’re not available until July 1. But they gave away some samples at conference.

Office Max - The store gave away samples of the Peter Walsh [IN] Place system - which adds some new strategies to filing. Folders are clear and tabs are placed onto the clear folders using super sticky post-its. You can view the entire line in the store or at this link.

Just for Professional Organizers:
A Red Bench - Teleclasses for Professional Organizers. The gals who run this are oh so fun and offer the info that new organizers need to know about running an organizing business.
Hope to see everyone at NAPO Conference 2010 in Columbus, Ohio!
