Q&A: Do I need a website first?
Milwaukee, WI – How would you start without having a website first?
Absolutely you can!
For a few dollars you can print a simple business card with your 411.
That is all you need to begin meeting people and networking.
I do recommend getting some kind of internet presence quickly. In this era, most people look for information on the internet. Luckily a small service business owner no longer needs a traditional (and expensive) website. Many are using blog sites with static pages to serve the same purpose for a fraction of the cost.
You can also use facebook, myspace, and linked in as starter business websites.
These social networking sites can act as a hub for your marketing efforts.
This page for the Butler Bag by Jen Groover that is a marketing tool for her business.
This page is my friend Sara’s organizing business fan page on facebook.
What other ideas do you have for starting a business without a traditional website?
