Being yourself cannot be overstated. Building relationships, whether you're networking online or in person, might feel like a slow way to get business when you're first getting started, but is ultimately much more effective than trying to sell to people.

Never think that someone isn't worth your time because they aren't in your target market. Everyone knows at least 200 other people, and you just never know who will be the one to connect you to your ideal client.

Allison, thanks for telling me about this post last night. I don't know how I missed it (must have gotten caught up in the next day's post about the LA Organizing Awards winners!), but thank you so much for missing my January post series on the basics of organizing paper. And yes, Jeri Dansky is our industry's rock star when it comes to finding cool-looking tangible solutions. She's the Research Maven and the Product Goddess.

I agree, Julie is a wizard when it comes to paper management. I can't even imagine how much time she spends researching each topic!

Thanks for mentioning the giveaway Allison! We actually have 127 experts participating in the Great Organizing Giveaway tm (or GOG as we are now calling it!) Since we are still actively promoting it, if anyone is interested in getting in on the fun, just contact me.

I SO wish I could go to the LA Organizing awards - especially since I'm one of the finalists for most innovative organizer - but my doctor has not released me for travel yet (darn surgery). Hope everyone that attends has a fantastic time!

I have heard some really good things about the teleconferences you are holding. So glad that you are here and promoting the growth of our industry. Keep up the great work!
To your success

I am so excited to be part of the Great Organizing Giveaway - participants can download a free copy of my Personal Medical Organizer which normally sells for $14.95.

I'm even more excited that one of my longest standing clients is an award finalist in the best organizing book category! Can't wait to find out who the winners will be!
